“Hind’s Hall 2” featured Anees, MC Abdul and Amer Zahr. Performer attribution matters: Anees delivered the song’s qualified “From the River to the Sea” reference, while Macklemore performed the closing English verse addressing the White House, Zionism, resistance and Kamala Harris.
In that verse, Macklemore says: “We know who you serve at the White House.”
Why critics connect it to antisemitic themes
Accusations that political leaders secretly serve an outside interest can overlap with classic loyalty and influence tropes, particularly when the surrounding subject is Israel and Zionism.
The lyric does not literally say that Jews control the White House. The antisemitism argument therefore depends on context and implication, not an explicit anti-Jewish statement.
